It might be summer but you might want to hold off on the barbecues this weekend, if the latest Met Office forecast for Essex is anything to go by. Check here for the full forecast
Forecasters are predicting "thundery downpours" are likely to batter the East of England from Saturday.
The Met Office yellow warning was issued yesterday (June 3) afternoon for Saturday across the region.
Forecasters currently predict there is a low chance of the very heavy rain reaching Essex but suggest that if it were to, the impact would be 'high'.
The Met's chief forecaster warns: "Warm, humid air is likely to be pulled northwards from France late on Friday and during Saturday.
"Within this airmass, there is an increasing likelihood that heavy, thundery showers will break out."
