OFFICERS investigating the murder of Colchester student Nahid Almanea have sealed off an area in the town after a knife was found.
Police have confirmed that Hawthorn Avenue has been cordoned off by officers after the weapon was discovered earlier today (June 24).
They have said it is too early to say whether there is any connection to the murder of the 31-year-old Saudi Arabian student
However, the weapon will be sent for further forensic investigation.
It comes as police said they wanted to speak to a man identified by witnesses as walking behind two women at around 8.45am on June 13 as they came out of a house in Stanley Wooster Way, Colchester.
It believed one of these women may have been Nahid Almanea.
He is described as white, in his 30s, around 5ft 10ins tall with short, dark hair.
He was dressed casually and was wearing dark jeans. He is also had a local Colchester accent.
