A LORRY driver has been questioned by police on suspicion of careless driving following a multi-vehicle road crash on the A12 near Witham today.
Officers were called shortly after 7am following reports of a collision involving seven vehicles on the southbound carriageway.
Two people were taken to hospital with slight injuries and one lane was kept open past the scene of the crash and the road was fully reopened at about 10 30am.
The vehicles involved were a white DAF HGV, two white Ford Transit vans, a grey BMW Z4, a grey Vauxhall Zafira, a blue Toyota Avensis and a red Ford Fiesta.
The lorry driver was interviewed by police and has been reported for careless driving.
