Maldon and Tiptree manager Terry Spillane is hoping for a bumper pre-season fixture with Colchester United.
The Jammers have already booked Conference South sides, Chelmsford City and Concord Rangers, but Spillane wants to add the League One side to the line-up.
He said: "We are hoping to add Colchester United to the list in the next week or two, which is one waiting in the wings.
"We have got Chelmsford and Concord Rangers who are Conference South sides, which will be a great test for us.
"There are some Essex Senior League teams, going up to Halstead, so I am really pleased with what we have got.
We are all really looking forward to getting going. We're recharged, ready and raring to go."
Maldon get their pre-season training underway this Saturday, with Spillane trying to get his team ready for the upcoming Ryman North season.
