ITV, which has been showing Grand Depart on its main channel since the start on Saturday (July 5).
Today's broadcast took in Cambridge, Saffron Walden, and the villages in Braintree and Uttlesford before the peloton arrived in Chelmsford via Roxwell.
But it appears the network cut to an advert break just as the riders were about to hit the Chignall Road, a key spot for Chelmsford.
John 'Johnny Daw' Pïnch wrote on the Essex Chronicle Facebook page: "Love how itv went to an ad break just as they hit chignal road"
Meanwhile Sush Rose added: "So annoyed they decided to cut to a break at Chignal Road! I was swearing at the TV!"
