CHELMSFORD drivers and commuters will be asked how traffic levels could be better managed in the city from today.
The initiative, which will last for two-and-a-half weeks and has been rolled out this morning, asks drivers, cyclists, bus and train users to fill out short surveys on the issue.
They can be found at the railway station, on buses, in car park, at cycle parks and at the BP Service Station on Springfield's Colchester Road near the A12.
County Councillor Rodney Bass, cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: "It is essential for Essex County Council to conduct surveys so we can see how traffic levels in the city may be best managed. The results will help us make future bids for national funding."
There will also be counts of train and bus passengers, cyclists, car park vehicles and service area vehicles, along with roadside CCTV vehicle counts.
