POLICE have appealed for witnesses to come forward following the death of an elderly woman in a collision on the M11 yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.
The crash at just before 3.30pm between an HGV and a car on the southbound carriageway between Junction 7 at Harlow and the M25 Interchange left a 79-year-old passenger dead, and a man and woman travelling in the car with her also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The northbound carriageway was closed briefly while an air ambulance attended the scene and the southbound carriageway was closed for several hours for vehicle recovery and while police carried out an initial investigation.
