After a mixed weekend in terms of weather with bright sunshine and heavy showers Essex residents will be pleased to hear that the county could see highs of 27C next week.
The Essex Weather centre has predicted that by Wednesday next week Essex could be heating up to 26C and by Thursday 27C – but with a risk of showers in the later on in the evening.
Winds will be light throughout next week, feeling very warm and increasingly humid.
Yesterday 300 lightning strikes were recorded locally.
Two houses in Basildon were affected by fire after a lightning strike.
