A labourer who police said fell off his motorbike while drunk outside Maldon police station has been disqualified from driving.
Matthew Rieseback, 24, of Volwycke Avenue, Maldon, admitted to one count yesterday (July 14) at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
He was fined £205, was forced to pay an extra £105 in victim surcharge and court costs, and was disqualified from holding a licence for 20 months.
Essex Police had claimed that Rieseback fell off his motorcycle outside the town police station in West Square in the early hours of Saturday, June 28.
