The joint funeral for former Essex Chronicle editorial secretary Petal Hawkins and her husband Peter will take place on Monday (July 21).
Petal, 79, who was killed in a two-car crash on the A414 on Tuesday, July 1, and Peter, who died aged 83 just two weeks previously from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, will be remembered at a service at All Saints Church in Writtle from 12.30pm.
Children Velda Curry and John Hawkins had been planning Peter's funeral for July 9, but were left to hurriedly rearrange after the most recent tragedy.
Both have spoken of their devastation following the double blow, but at the same time, paid tribute to their fantastic parents.
Family members are bringing flowers to the funeral, while others are asked to donate to Farleigh Hospice via funeral directors Pennack T & Sons.
