STAFF at Tesco went back to the Wild Wild West to raise money for charity.
Maggs Morrad was the lucky victim, who was covered in custard to mark a weekend which raised £2,000 for the Tesco Charity Cancer Research.
Maggs, 52, of Chelmsford, who works in the store's garage, has been at the branch for 13 years.
She said: "I volunteered to do it because I knew it would be a good cause.
"As soon as it was all on top of my head it just felt like glue.
"There was no way I would have eaten any of it though, because we thickened it with flour for dramatic effect."
Tesco worker Christine Ellingham came up with both the idea for the custard and the Wild Wild West theme.
Non-food trading manager Bob Austin said: "It was fantastic.
"It was the most successful event we have done in the store.
"Everyone worked together and made it a very enjoyable weekend, we even had a singer in store on Saturday who was very popular."
