A man has died after plunging from a lift at Southend seafront.
Police were called to the Western Esplanade shortly before 10am today (July 24) following reports that a man had fallen from Pier Hill lift.
the man, who was believed to be in his 40s and from the Southend area was pronounced dead at the scene.
An Essex Police spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report will be prepared for the coroner/.
