FRIENDS of a motorcyclist killed when his bike collided with a car last week in South Woodham Ferrers have paid tribute by joining together to ride in his memory.
Nearly 100 fellow bikers gathered outside The Dick Turpin pub near Wickford last night (July 29) to ride together in memory of Josh Marlow, who was killed while riding along the A132.
Writing after hearing of the impressive turnout Josh's father Keith Coyle wrote: "What we can we say, BLOODY MARVELOUS, JUST BLOODY MARVELOUS! We have never been more proud of our Son than we are tonight, I do not Know the words to truly express our gratitude to you all for honoring our Son like this, we want to meet and shake hands with each and every one of you because you are All Now Part Of Our Family."
The 22-year old, from South Woodham Ferrers, was a keen biker, and shooting enthusiast who had hoped to open his own business one day.
A 45-year-old man from Wickham Bishops was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving in connection with the crash and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call the Essex Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or emailcollisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk.
