BURNHAM Ramblers have wasted no time in finding a new boss, with Bertie Brayley replacing Lee Elliston, who resigned yesterday.
The 32-year-old has been appointed player-manager at Leslie Field and will take charge of his first game tomorrow (Saturday) when Ramblers host East Thurrock United.
Elliston stepped down yesterday after just two weeks in charge at Ramblers.
A statement on Ramblers' website said: "Following the sudden departure of Lee Elliston as first team manager the board have not held back in seeking out his replacement.
"And the Club now has great pleasure that we announce with immediate effect Bertie (Albert) Brayley will be joining the club as player-manager.
"The former Swindon Town, Canvey Island, Margate, Braintree, Chelmsford City and FA Youth Cup winner with West Ham United is looking forward to this new challenge in his football career as he enters the management arena ably assisted by David Patient (assistant manager) and Leon Woodford (first team coach).
"Everyone at the club is exited about the appointment."
