A man suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in Chelmsford last night.
The pedestrian was in collision with a black Ford Fiesta in Parkway at around 10.30pm.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance after suffering serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed for several hours whilst the emergency services attended.
An Essex Police spokesman said there will be no further police investigation into the incident.
