CHELMSFORD Superbike star Ed Rendell admitted that he will not take things lightly as he aims to ride towards glory.
The 23-year-old is currently 42 points ahead in the 2014 Motul British Motostar Championship with six rounds left to go.
And with the action moving to Oulton Park this weekend after another win in Thuxton on Sunday, Rendell is hoping to carry on with his tremendous form.
He said: "I feel that I can still ride as hard as I can. It is obviously depended on how the weekend goes but next week is Oulton Park and we have already been there this year.
"I managed to grab pole there and dominated the race, so I am confident that I can go there and put my head down. If it all goes wrong then you can look to play safe and go for third and try to get some points.
"That is what's nice about that gap, you have the leeway to settle if you are not feeling comfortable on the bike."
