Police are trying to trace a boy pictured in CCTV after a 17-year-old schoolgirl had her bottom slapped.
The Colchester girl was walking through the underpass in Crouch Street, near Balkerne Hill, shortly before 3.30pm on Friday, May 16, when a group of young men walked towards her.
As they passed one of them slapped her bottom.
Police today announced they would like to identify and speak to this boy pictured in connection with the incident.
Investigating Officer Pc Lisa Norfolk said: "During the past three months, we have been examining a large volume of CCTV to see if this young man features again.
"We have also been speaking to the girl in order to obtain as much detail from her as possible regarding his description and the friends he had been walking with.
"We now need him or his friends to come forward."
The boy pictured in CCTV is described as white and in his late teens.
The girl was uninjured but left distressed and shocked by the assault.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Neighbourhood Crime Team at Colchester police station on 101.
