It was a triumphant Saturday for the Beresfords Brentwood Fire U13 team as they continued to dominate the U13 league at the Lrytas Academy. This was to be Fire's fifth consecutive win of the season.
Ross Luckman led his team mates to a good start, scoring a strong 13 points at the start of the game. A good nine rebounds from Luckman made sure the opponents kept their hands off the ball. Titus Bielskis also helped by claiming the most steals for Fire to win the first quarter.
Brentwood Fire held their good start through to the second quarter wining another 12 points without Lyrtas scoring.
Lrytas tried to come back in the third quarter scoring 14 points but Brentwood Fire did not give up their wining streak.
Mitch Fox helped Fire win 20 points with 2 offensive rebounds and Joe Willis stole the ball from the Lyrtas rivals. The last quarter was the most exciting yet as Fire did not allow Lrytas to score any points. Luke Harris earned the title of most valuable player as he helped steal the ball assist his teammates, and rebound the ball while putting ten points on the scoreboard. The final score: 133-26.
