A POLICE helicopter above a Chelmsford park this afternoon (September 30) is related to an ongoing murder investigation in the city started this morning, Essex Police has confirmed.
A 29-year-old man has already been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a body in a flat on Broomfield Road, Chelmsford at 8.30am, above TJ's Sandwich Shop.
The victim, thought to be in his 40s, suffered what police have described as "multiple injuries".
Essex Police said the police helicopter, which has been spotted over Admirals Park this afternoon, was being used as part of the investigation.
They would not divulge who, or what, they were looking for at this stage.
