As if Tuesday night's humbling 3-0 defeat at Hayes & Yeading wasn't enough to take Chelmsford City's Sam Corcoran has an extra reason to forget the evening.
The former Colchester United midfielder has become an internet sensation after more than 350,000 people viewed his howler of a set piece which is being branded 'The worst free-kick ever?'
As he runs up to take the kick Corcoran appears to changes his mind but slips on the turf before kneeing the ball to an opposition player. To makes matters worse they go straight down the other end and score.
"It's just gone crazy," Corcoran told the Chronicle.
