BRAINTREE TOWN boss Alan Devonshire has confirmed that he will ring the changes for the visit of Grimsby Town tonight.
The Iron host the Mariners at Cressing Road following Saturday's 0-0 draw with Woking on Saturday.
Matt Paine returned to playing action in the FA Cup defeat over Weymouth last Tuesday, and with Sean Marks back from suspension and Charlie Strutton fit again, Devonshire will look to mix things up.
He said: "Credit to Jordan Cox for playing while carrying a knock but Sean should be back for Tuesday night so there will be a change there. Charlie might start on Tuesday but we have a chat and see how he is. But I will rest a few because I need to now. Some of them are walking on empty at the moment.
"Then we will just see how they go. I am just looking at the boys that are coming back and if they need minutes then it will have to be on Tuesday."
Grimsby will be the last chance for some of the Braintree players to earn their place in the starting line-up for Sunday's FA Cup first round clash with League One's Chesterfield.
But Devonshire will make sure his players are ready physically before considering them for the Iron's bumper tie.
He added: "I don't want to just chuck them in Sunday. I had to do that with Painey against Weymouth and I rested him today because he was in pieces. I will see how they all are and then pick them for Sunday from that."
