RYAN TEN DOESCHATE has signed a new deal with Essex that will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2016 season.
The Eagles' One-Day captain made his debut for the club in 2003 and has so far secured a first-class average of 46.26.
The 34-year-old guided Essex to the quarter-finals of both the T20 Blast and the Royal London One-Day Cup, losing to Warwickshire in both competitions.
Head Coach Paul Grayson told the club's website: "Ryan has been a fantastic servant for Essex County Cricket Club, and we are very pleased he has decided to extend his time here.
"He is still a key player for us in all three formats, and his captaincy of the One Day team last season was excellent."
