Chelmsford Remembrance Day Service and Parade, War Memorial, Duke Street, Chelmsford

Local dignitaries will join veterans, and members of the public to pay their respects. Road closures will be in effect from 10am onwards although access to Fairfield Road Car Park from Coval Lane will still be available. Attendees are asked to be in place by 10.50am at the latest.Chelmsford Cathedral Choral Mattins, Chelmsford Cathedral, New Street, Sunday November 9, at 10.55am, Choral Mattins will be sung, including the marking of silence at 11am.
Broomfield Remembrance Day Service, War Memorial, Village Green, and St Mary with St Leonard Church, Sunday November 9, at 10.40am An Act of Remembrance and laying of wreaths at the War Memorial followed by a march to Church for Service of Remembrance. Following the Service wreaths will be laid on the graves of the Fallen in the Church graveyard. Members will then take refreshment at Branch HQ.
Sandon Remembrance Day Service, St Andrew's Church, November 9, at 10am An hour-long service with all ages welcome, to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Braintree district: The annual remembrance service in Bocking will begin with an assembly in Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens at 2.10pm. At 2.15pm there will be a parade led by The Royal British Legion to St. Michael's Church in Braintree, where a service will start at 3pm.
Maldon town remembrance service, All Saints Church, Maldon High Street
Sunday November 9 at 10am The Remembrance Parade is attended by the Town Mayor, Councillors and other local dignitaries, ex-Servicemen and Women, The British Legion, various Cadet Forces, TA units, St. John's Ambulance, Fire Brigade, the police and other emergency services and voluntary groups together with residents. Following a short service and the laying of wreaths, the Last Post is played and those that gather to pay their respects to observe a two minute silence at 11am.
Burnham on Crouch Remembrance service, Burnham-on-Crouch Baptist Church, High Street
Sunday November 9 at 10am. There is a service at the Baptist Church at 10am followed by a procession to the nearby War Memorial where the Remembrance Ceremony takes place at 11am.
The Tollesbury village Remembrance day Service, will be held at Tollesbury Congregational Church, East St, Sunday November 9 at 10am It comprises a service followed by an act of Remembrance at the War Memorial with Revd Phil Grove and Revd Christine Gorringe.
South Woodham Ferrers Remembrance Day Service, William de Ferrers School, Trinity Square, Sunday November 9, at 10.45am. The Royal British Legion Remembrance Service will take place in the Dame Elizabeth Hall at the secondary school. Guests are asked to arrive at 10.30am. The service will be followed by a parade to Millennium Place, where poppies will be laid.
Southend will hold its annual Remembrance Day commemoration at the Cenotaph on Clifftown Parade, with the event starting at 10am. Veterans and members of other uniformed organisations will assemble with standard bearers in Prittlewell Square, before the parade, headed up by the Queen's Colour Party moves off towards the Cenotaph at 10.30am The Remembrance Day Service begins at 10.55am with the Last Post and then the exhortation. The end of the silence will be signalled by the Reveille followed by the Kohima epitaph given by Mr Philip Hopkins of the Burma Star Association.
In Coggeshall a service will be held at St Peter Ad Vincula Church, Church Street, at 10.45am with people asked to be seated by 10.30am. Following the service, an Act of Remembrance will be held at the War Memorial on the Recreation Ground in East Street.
In Halstead, an assembly around the Second World War memorial in the Public Gardens for laying of wreaths and a short service at 2pm. Then there will be a parade to the First World War memorial for a repeat service and a Service of Remembrance to follow at St Andrew's Church.
People in Witham will be gathering at The Avenue for the march to the War Memorial at 2.30pm.
There will then be a service and poppy laying at War Memorial which will take place at 3pm, while in Rivenhall wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial outside St Mary and All Saints Church in Church Road, Rivenhall at 10.45am.
