Royal Mail has issued five Christmas stamp designs that feature festive scenes like carol singing and building snowmen.
The stamps also feature designs that show the buying of a Christmas tree, posting cards and ice skating.
Special stamps for Christmas has been a long-standing tradition for Royal Mail since they ran a competition on BBC's Blue Peter giving children the chance to design stamps in 1966.
Last year's Madonna and Child stamps will also be available this year in 1st and 2nd class.
Andrew Hammond, Royal Mail Stamps spokesman, said: "Christmas is a stamp issue we particularly look forward to and the charming style of these designs sets the perfect tone for the festive season."
Royal Mail is encouraging customers to post their festive greetings early, and order their online gifts and shopping well in advance
Its latest recommended posting dates for mail to arrive in time for Christmas in the UK are: • 2nd Class Thursday 18th December• 1st Class Saturday 20th December• Special Delivery Tuesday 23rd December
