A NEW business networking event, the first of its kind in Brentwood, will be "refreshingly fun and relaxed" says organiser Kathryn Painter.
Rather than putting on yet another starchy, traditional trade show on December 7, the owner of KEM Event Management, from Hutton Road, in Shenfield, plans to inject some fun into the Brentwood Centre event, which will attract up to 100 stands.
The event, launched in partnership with the Gazette, is looking like it is the place to be for proactive business people.
So far printers, accountants, conveyancers, recruitment experts, consultants, hoteliers, insurance companies, a will lawyer and a go-kart racing business are among those signed up.
Miss Painter, 30, said: "This will be a different experience to the usual intensity of business shows and that's my intention.
"We shall be serving beer and wine, there will be fantastic entertainment, and a raffle in aid of the Brentwood charity SNAP.
"My aim is to keep the atmosphere relaxed, as well as making it a great opportunity to make some quality new contacts.
"It's almost Christmas and I want people to come along, get involved, have some fun and do good business."
The event, in the main arena of the Doddinghurst Road venue, is free to attend for visitors and will be open from 9am until 4pm.
