An overturned lorry has forced the closure of the London-bound A12 between Howe Green and Galleywood.
Police say that two lorries collided shortly before 6.20am near junction 17 (Howe Green), but that there are no injuries.
The road is set to be closed for around two hours while the vehicles are recovered.
There are long queues in the area, stretching back to the Witham at junction 21.
