Essex is bracing itself for the onset of wintry weather as snow begins to fall across parts of the county this morning.
Forecasters predict most of the sleet and snow hitting Chelmsford will be light, with negligible amounts expected. Winds are also predicted to be light and temperatures are not expected to reach higher than 3C.
Driving conditions could potentially be difficult, and large parts of the county will see temperatures drop to 1C.
