Schools in Brentwood are set to open as planned today (Monday, February 11) despite a light coating on snow overnight.
Snow was still falling across at 7.50am as updates from the borough's schools started to appear on their websites and on twitter.
The Brentwood County High twitter feed put up the following post at 7.07am: "School is open as normal with no changes to timings, uniform, footwear or lessons. We will see you all bright and ready for 0830!#lovebchs"
Wickford-based NIBS buses, an independent firm that ferries pupils to schools across south Essex, has reported all services running as normal, except the 41 service, which is 15 minutes late.
