A Sandon company director has denied involvement in an alleged plan to supply as much as £101,000 worth of cannabis.
Wayne Mixture, owner of groundwork firm Acorn Developments, pleaded not guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday (May 12) to one count of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
The 44-year-old, of Hall Lane, Sandon, also pleaded not guilty to one count of abstracting electricity.
Officers say they found 268 plants hidden beneath a trap door after raiding a premises in Rumbolds Farms, Hammonds Road in Sandon on February 17.
The father-of-two was released on conditional bail for the offences. A trial at Chelmsford Crown Court is expected to take place next year.
